Pipework and build eras: Extremely varied. Victorian clay and brick sewers in the inner city, clay through a lot of the suburbs, and plastic on the post-1980 estates and modern developments.
What we get called out for: Blocked drains, fat and grease build-up, wipes causing sewer blockages, root ingress, collapsed clay pipe, and CCTV surveys before people buy a house.
How long we are: Twenty to forty minutes depending on the area. Usually the A58(M), A64(M), A1(M), the A6120 or the ring road.
Access and parking: City centre parking is often the biggest challenge. Terraced housing frequently has shared drains and rear access down a ginnel.
Areas that differ: Headingley, Hyde Park, Burley, Chapel Allerton and central Leeds have many older combined systems. East Leeds, Seacroft, Thorpe Park and the East Leeds Extension are much newer plastic drainage.
